How it records
Unprocessed capture
Echo cancellation, noise suppression and auto gain are all switched off. Those are right for a call and wrong for a performance — auto gain alone will ride your level up and down while you play.
Lossless export
Raw PCM through an AudioWorklet, written straight to 16-bit WAV. The samples in the file are the samples that came off the microphone. Take it into any DAW, or into MELD Master.
Multitrack
Overdubbing, per-track mute and solo, and a mixdown. The next build, and the one that decides how buffers are managed.
Your audio never leaves your browser — there is no upload and nothing to sign into to record. (Three buttons, Save to cloud, Share by link and Share to MELD Social, send audio to MELD's storage — only when you press them.) A take in the recorder is gone when you reload unless you keep it: use Add to the timeline or export it.
